Product History: Lunar

The Lunar table lamp was developed by the Cologne designer Peter Otto Vosding in cooperation with the Recozy design studio. The flat shape is rounded off by the calm and unobtrusive design and combines classic elegance with functionality.

The Lunar table lamp addresses a simple problem: side tables and bedside tables are often very small and offer little storage space. Conventional table lamps leave little space on small tabletops to keep mobile phones, glasses and other utensils within reach. Therefore, the process of creating the Lunar was shaped by the idea of designing a lamp that in turn offers a practical shelf. In addition to this basic idea, the shape and structure were created in the further design process through various drawings. The development of the details and the planning of the printability in 3D printing took a lot of time, despite the relatively simple form and function.
The shape of the Lunar should not only emit warm light, but the soft contours of the Lunar bring calm into every room and create a cozy lighting. The circular lampshade casts a pleasant cone of light on surrounding objects and puts them in a new light. The practical, translucent plastic plate consists of 100% recycled plastic spools and serves as a safe place to put your daily companions and to keep them to hand at all times. This makes the Lunar the perfect addition to any bedside table, side table, on the sideboard or as a table lamp next to the sofa or armchair.
