Product story: Lunar

The Lunar table lamp was developed by the Cologne designer Peter Otto Vosding in cooperation with the Recozy design studio. The flat shape is rounded off by the calm and unobtrusive design and combines classic elegance with functionality.

The Lunar table lamp addresses a simple problem: side and bedside tables are often tiny and offer little storage space. Conventional table lamps leave little room on small tabletops to keep mobile phones, glasses and other utensils within reach. Therefore, the process of creating the Lunar was shaped by the idea of designing a lamp that offers a practical shelf. In addition to this basic idea, various drawings created the shape and structure in the further design process. Despite the relatively simple form and function, the development of the details and the planning of the printability in the 3D printing process took a lot of time.

The shape should not only emit warm light but rather, the soft contours of the Lunar bring calm into every room and create a cosy lighting. The circular lampshade casts a pleasant cone of light on surrounding objects and puts them in a new light. The practical, translucent plastic plate consists of 100% recycled plastic spools and is a safe place to put your daily companions and keep them on hand at all times. This makes the Lunar the perfect addition to any bedside table, side table, on the sideboard or as a table lamp next to the couch or armchair.
